Biography – Dr. Kylee Forrest

Kylee completed her Doctorate with a focus on childhood anxiety, and is also broadly experienced in working with child, adolescent and adult clients experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues. She also has expertise in working with life transitions such as grief, trauma, and parenting difficulties, including working with children on the ASD spectrum. When working with clients to develop individualised treatment plans, Kylee draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and positive psychology.

Kylee’s major interest area is supporting women and couples during their ante-natal and post-natal periods and she has gained considerable experience with these clients working as a psychologist at Mater Mothers Hospital. On days when she is not at Benchmark, Kylee also works within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Mater Mothers, supporting families with prematurely born babies.

Throughout her experiences Kylee has developed a strong passion for working collaboratively with clients and their support networks to help promote greater life satisfaction. Kylee acknowledges the courage taken to seek help and values the importance of providing a non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic environment.

Kylee is currently only available for appointments on Wednesdays at Benchmark Psychology.
