Biography – Dr Cate Hearn

As well as being a clinical psychologist, Cate remains a registered teacher and comes from a strong educational background.  She has a particular interest in educational assessments around learning difficulties and giftedness.  In her treatment work, Cate has a passion for working with children and families, particularly with emotional and behavioural problems. Cate also works across the lifespan with anxiety and mood disorders.

 

Cate’s approach to treatment is warm and open-hearted and the assistance she provides is always tailored to suit each client’s needs.

 

As well as considerable experience in a variety of clinical settings, Cate has worked at Belmont Private Psychiatric Hospital and lectured in psychology at Griffith University.
