Biography – Sarah Scupham

Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)

Masters in Clinical Psychology (completion due end 2018)

Member of the Australian Psychological Association (APS)

 

Sarah completed her Honours in Psychology in 2014 and has since worked in rural Queensland with children and families in the NGO sector. She is currently completing a Master in Clinical Psychology to obtain full registration as a Psychologist.  Sarah has experience working with children, adolescents and adults presenting with relationship distress, depression, and a range of anxiety disorders.

 

Sarah is undertaking her final placement at Benchmark Psychology under the supervision of Dr Jennifer Wilson and is offering low cost services during this time.  She will be focusing her time on helping adults and has a special interest in working with couples experiencing relationship distress/dissatisfaction.  She has received training in a number of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema therapy and Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples (EFT). Sarah aims to build a strong working alliance with her clients, as she believes this is central in achieving change in therapy.

 

You might already recognize Sarah as she has been a long-term member of our wonderful reception team while completing her studies.  The whole team is very proud to see her step into a new role within the practice.
