In order to reduce the spread of COVID-10 and to keep our clients and staff safe, Benchmark Psychology will be moving entirely to telehealth until Government advice supports the relaxing of social distancing. On 11 March 2020, the Prime Minister, the Hon. Scott Morrison MP, announced new Medicare telehealth items to ensure that Psychologists could continue to offer support to clients during the COVID-19 crisis. Telehealth can be conducted either via our very easy to use telehealth video-conferencing platform or if you are unable to access a device we can also do phone appointments.

BULK-BILLING FOR FRONTLINE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Benchmark Psychology are passionate supporters and advocates for our fellow health professionals and we recognise that this newly declared COVID-19 pandemic will be especially difficult for those on the frontline.
To throw our support behind our colleagues a large number of our psychologists will be immediately offering bulk-billing services to health professionals. This will be available to the following groups;
- General practitioners
- Practice nurses
- A&E doctors and nurses
- Any health professionals working in fever clinics, respiratory wards or any other specialist roles that will have high contact with COVID-19 cases
Others will be considered based on an individual basis and this initiative will continue for the next 6 months and reassessed in September 2020. We are also well set up to conduct these appointments via telehealth if requested.
