Biography – Dr Si Jing Tan (SJ)

SJ is a registered psychologist, having completed a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Queensland. She has worked in roles across rehabilitation and hospital settings and has experience treating complex clinical and neuropsychological cases.

SJ is compassionate, warm, and open, creating a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients. SJ believes in tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs, drawing on evidence-based treatments including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has clinical experience working with clients with mood and anxiety difficulties, stress, adjustment issues (e.g. health conditions, life transitions), interpersonal/relationship issues, grief and loss (e.g. bereavement, cancer, brain injury), and trauma.

SJ also has expertise in neuropsychological assessment and intervention. She is passionate about providing diagnostic clarity through assessment and adapting interventions to optimise her clients’ well-being. Her scope of practice includes neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities), chronic health conditions, neurological conditions (e.g. epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, brain tumours, stroke) and neurodegenerative conditions (e.g. dementia, Parkinson’s disease).
