Biography – Jessica Lyons
Jessica has a particular passion for treating children and adolescents. Her enjoyment of working with children has stemmed from her background as a primary school teacher. Whilst studying her Master of Clinical Psychology, Jessica found that she also enjoyed working with adult clients and being able to provide them with the help and support that they needed.
Jessica’s approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centred. She has an understanding that coming to therapy at any age can be scary as there are with many unknowns. Therefore she will endeavour to make your experience as enjoyable and easy as possible.
She has an interest in therapy and assessment of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, stress, and social skills training. She uses evidence-based treatments to develop personalised treatment plans based on individual needs and to help the client explore what is going on for them in their world.
